Show PTfl Membership Drive Opens, Urge Program Support The Parent-Teachers Association Associa-tion of Cedar City has opened its membership campaign for 1949- 50, and officers of the association as-sociation make an urgent appear to all parents In the city to join and support the program of the PTA. This year three separate organizations organ-izations have been set up, one for the elementary school, and one each for the Junior high school and senior high school, in order that the varying problems of the three age groups may be more easily understood and approached. ap-proached. Parents who have children In more than one of the schools are asked to Join both, or all three organizations, as the case may be. Students will bring home envelopes en-velopes in which memberships' may be returned, and parents are urged to respond wholeheartedly wholehearted-ly and promptly. Membership chairmen for the three organizations organiza-tions are Mrs. Jennie Greaves, high school; Mrs. Garna Riding, Junior high, and Mrs. Mae Boy-ter, Boy-ter, elementary. Support is also asked for the PTA scholarship fund. Three scholarships are offered In the region for students doing outstanding out-standing work in the field of teacher training, and each parent par-ent may have the privilege of contributing to the fund. A request re-quest of a contribution of 10 cents from each parent is made by the scholarship committee. |
