Show Local Firms Plan Observance of Auto Dealer Week Many accidents, breakdowns on the road and costly, repairs could be averted if motorists would form the habit of having their cars inspected at regular intervals, according to local new car dealers who are co-operating in sponsoring observance here of National Automobile Dealer Week, Oct. 22-28. "The use of better matels and improved construction of both the mechanical parts of automobiles and tires have already al-ready done much to reduce the I number of breakdowns on the highways" according to Stanley Bradshaw of Bradshaw Chevrolet Chevro-let Co., local area chairman. Local dealers are planning special window displays and other attractions for the week. They include: Bradshaw Chevrolet Chevro-let Co., Cedar Motor Co., Cox Motor Co., Fair Deal Motor Co., Jones-Crawford Motor Co., Lunt Motor Co., Miller Auto Parts Co., South Utah Auto Co., and Thor-ley Thor-ley Motor Co. Statewide activities will begin with a klckoff luncheon at noon Wednesday. Oct. 18, in Newhouse hotel in Salt Lake City. Dr. Carl J. Christensen, dean of the University Uni-versity of Utah's college of Mines and Mineral Industries, will be the principal speaker. Frank B. Streater, president, Utah Automo-bile Automo-bile Dealers Association, will preside. |
