Show Former Cedar Man, Karl Knell. 48, Dies in Salt Lake City Karl Knell, 48, former resident of Cedar City and brother of Ru-Ion Ru-Ion and Ray Knell, died Wednesday Wed-nesday evening at his home in Salt Lake City following a long illness. Mr. Knell had been ill for about a year, and had just been released from the hospital. Up until the time of his death, he had been with Petty Motor Co. in Salt Lake City. He has been with the firm here in Cedar City, but moved to Salt Lake City when Mr. Petty transferred his business busi-ness interests there. Mr. Knell was born in Pinto on Nov. 17, 1903, a son of Walter and Olive Emet Knell and attended at-tended schools in Cedar City. He married Mary Smith of Cedar City. Survivors include his widow, Salt Lake City; one son and one daughter, James Karl Knell, Salt Lake City and Mrs. Mary Lou McCune, Los Angeles; two brothers bro-thers and two sisters, Rulon and Ray Knell, Cedar City; Mrs. Thelma Cammerman, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Zelma Brown, River-ton, River-ton, and one grandchild. Funeral services have been set for Saturday in Salt Lake City. |
