Show Lions Club Honors Legion Auxiliary Prize Winning Trio The American Legion auxiliary trio from Cedar City, winner of national honors at the Legion convention held recently in Los Angeles, were honored guests on Monday noon at the meeting of the Lions club in El E.scalanle hotel. Members of the trio and the accompanist were presented with bouquets from the club, after which they responded with vocal numbers. Trio members are Mrs. Kumen Gardner, Mrs. Orville Isom and Mrs. Ben Riddle, with Mrs. Grant Seaman, accompanist. Mrs. Ellen Bulloch, chairman of the music committee of the Legion auxiliary, made a few brief remarks on the accomplishments accom-plishments of the prize winning musical organization. Also honored by the Lions at their meeting were members of the volunteer fire department. Representing the department were M. F. Grames, retiring chief; Ralph Hanzon, new chief, Ross Glass and Orwin Green. Chief Grames told the club members of the purposes and aims of the department during the past year, while chief Hanzon Han-zon read the names of the men now serving on the volunteer organization. |
