Show Plans Set for Large Basketball Tourney in December Definite plans we-e announced this week for the staging in December De-cember of one of the biggest basketball bas-ketball tournaments ever attempted at-tempted in Cedar City or southern south-ern Utah. The tournament will be played in the Branch Agricultural college col-lege fieldhouse on December 28, 29 and 30, with eight junior college col-lege teams from four western states participating. Teams participating par-ticipating will be Ventura from California, Boise and Ricks from Idaho, Mesa from Colorado, Dixie, Dix-ie, Snow, BAC and Weber from Utah. All teams have given assurance assur-ance that they will be on hand for the big event, and Coach Ray Lindquist, head of the physical education department at the B. A. C, sponsor of the meet, announces an-nounces that committees of school and city representatives are being appointed to handle all details of the tourney. |
