Show Local Army Man On Duty in Japan A Fifth Air Force F-80 Fighter Base, Japan: Pfc. Edward C. Frahske, son of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Os-car E. Frahske of Cedar City, has recently been assigned duties as an ammunition supply technician techni-cian at a fighter-bomber base of the Fifth Air Force in Japan. Pfc. Frahske served in the United States Army from April of 1911, until September of 1945. He enlisted in the Air Force in October of 1949 at Salt Lake City. Upon completion of basic training, Pfc Frahske entered the armament school at Lowry Air Force Base, Denver. He was assigned as-signed as an armament supply technician at Larson Air Force Base, Moses Lake, Wash., and remained on duty there until alerted for movement to the Far East Air Forces. Arriving in Japan in August of 1950, he was assigned to the Fifth Air Force and subsequently reassigned re-assigned to this F-80 fighter base, which is presently flying bombing bomb-ing and strafing missions against the North Korean Communist Com-munist troops and supply lines. |
