Show Christmas Mailing Deadline for Overseas Is Nov. 15 If you have Christmas packages pack-ages which you wish to send overseas to members of the armed forces, you better get them in the mail by Nov. 13, according ac-cording to a warning issued by the post office. Everyone is being urged to get their parcels in the mail between Oct. 15 and Nov. 15. The post.affice also warns that any parcels destined for delivery in Japan, Korea and any of the Pacific islands should be sent as early as possible, but in no case later than Nov. 1, to insure delivery by Christmas. Greeting cards bound for members mem-bers of the armed forces overseas should also be mailed before NoV. 15. They must be in sealed envelopes and prepaid at the first class rate. The size and weight restrictions restric-tions on sending domestic mail, also apply to overseas packages miKaBHHMn for members of the armed forces. However, there is a 50 lb. maximum maxi-mum on parcels addressed to APOs 124 and 125, care of postmaster. post-master. N. Y. |
