Show I Bountiful Lady Lions elect new officers for '89 View Elementary School. She enjoys en-joys gardening and caring for her home and family. Paul R. Allen works for Rick Warner Ford. He was formerly with the Bank of Utah as vice president presi-dent of marketing and business development de-velopment in Salt Lake City. He retired from Bank of Utah four years ago. Mr. Allen has served as president and as treasurer for the Bountiful Lions Club and at present pre-sent is secretary. The Bountiful Lady Lions' opening social will be Sept. 19 at Servus Drug. Dinner will be served and games will be the evening's entertainment. New officers elected for the Bountiful Lady Lions Club for the coming year are Earlene Allen as president and Louise Tate as first vice president. Other Lady Lions Club officers include: Judith Hills, second vice president; Thea Gerlach, secretar-y; secretar-y; Dianne McKenzie, treasurer and Sunshine Lady; Dora Trowbridge, Trow-bridge, parliamentarian; Carol Lockwood, historian; Beth East, Tail Twister; and Frances War-wood, War-wood, Sherrie Clayville and Dan'L Kelly, directors. The Bountiful Lady Lions Club, which was organized in 1943, is made up of wives of members of the Bountiful Lions Club. Mrs. Allen joined the Lady Lions in 1975 and has served as first and second vice president and many other offices. She states, "Our club sponsors three girls to Girls' State each year, one from Bountiful High, one from View-mont View-mont High and one from Woods Cross High School. The club supports sup-ports the Utah Lions Foundation which includes the Eye Bank at the University of Utah Medical Cen ter, and supports many civic projects. pro-jects. "Our club assists the Bountiful Lions Club with its annual Turkey Shoot, providing the concessions for the two-day event the weekend before Thanksgiving," she stated. Mrs. Allen entertained her board of officers at a dinner served at her home in Bountiful on Sept. 7. She is very pleased with the selection of her officers this year. Earlene Jorgensen Allen grew up in, Cache County and attended school there. She worked at Safeway Safe-way until she married Paul R. Allen in Hyrum. After Mr. Allen was drafted into the U.S. Army during the Korean War, they spent 2Vz years in New York. When the Aliens returned to Utah, they settled in Layton. They lived there for eight years. Their children, Gregory, Judy and Daren, were born there. They moved to Bountiful 22 years ago. Their daughter, Teressa, was born here. Mrs. Allen has worked for the Davis County School food program prog-ram for ten years, serving at Valley EARLENE ALLEN |
