They will enter the MTC Sept. 28. Their farewell will be held Sept. 18 at 1:30 p.m. in the Val Verda First Ward Chapel, 2633 S. 50 W., Bountiful. Following the meeting, friends and relatives are invited to visit at the Bond home, 118 E. 275Q S. ELDER CHRISTENSEN Layne J. Christensen, son of the late Richard J. Christensen and Helen O. Christensen, has returned re-turned from the Wisconsin Milwaukee Mil-waukee Mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He will report on his mission Sept. 18 at 9 a.m. in the Bountiful 10th Ward, 1145 N. 200 E. ELDER NORD Brett Nord has just completed a two-year mission in Billings, Mont. He served as a district leader, zone leader and as assistant to the president. His homecoming report will be Sunday, Sept. 18 at 3:10 at the Bountiful 29th Ward, 1200 E. Bountiful Hills Dr. ELDER BARTON Elder Rick Barton will return home Sept. 11 after completing a successful mission in the England London South Mission for the LDS Church. V ARIEL A. AND LuDEAN HULSE Ariel A. and LuDean Hulse have been called to serve in the Washington, D.C. Temple. Their farewell will be held Sept. 18 at 12:50 p.m. at the Bountiful 25th Ward, 1500 S. 600 E. ELDER SMOOT Elder Shandell M. Smoot, son of .Stan and Mary Ellen Smoot of Centerville, Cen-terville, has accepted a call to serve in the Spain, Madrid Mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He will report to the MTC on Sept. 21. He graduated from Viewmont High School in June, where he was honored as a state wrestling champion cham-pion two years in a row. In 1987 was named the "Outstanding Wrestler" of the state tournament. He was also the quarterback of the football team. He is an Eagle Scout and has spoken to many scout groups on the importance of the word of wisdom, and adherence to its principles in buildine a powerful body as well as TAMRA DUERDEN Tamra Duerden, daughter of Ron and Clorinda Duerden, has accepted a call to serve a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She will be going to the Norway Oslo mission. Her farewell will be held Sunday, Sun-day, Sept. 18 at 2:50 p.m. at 102 E. 1400 S., Bountiful. Friends and family are also invited to attend an open house after the meeting at 1616 S. 100 E. j Tammy is a 985 graduate of Bountiful High School. She has attended B YU for one and one-half years and has worked at the All Seasons Pool and Patio, for a year and a half. She will enter the Missionary Mis-sionary Training Center Oct. 5. ELDER PRATT . Elder William Jarvis Pratt has been called to serve as a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Chile Vina del Mar Mission. He will enter the MTC Oct. 5. Bill is the son of Robert N. Pratt and the late Natalie N. Pratt. He graduated from Viewmont High School in 1987 and has attended the University of Utah. His farewell will be held at 9 a.m. on Sept. 18 at the Bountiful 37th Ward located at 1540 N. 400 E. Friends and family are invited to visit with him after the meeting at his home at 2047 Ridgehill Dr. (2000 E.). Wood, has been called to the New Hampshire Hamp-shire Manchester Mission and will enter the MTC Sept. 21. His farewell was held in the Farmington First Ward Rock Chapel on Sept. 11 with an open house held afterwards at his home, 146 E. 550 N., Farmington. Anyone Any-one still wishing to visit with Clark is still welcome. His brother Eric served in the South Carolina mission and a sister, sis-ter, Shelly, served in the Texas Houston Mission. He is a grandson of Clifton and Iva Wood of Farmington Farm-ington and Homer and Evelyn George of Salt Lake City. . LYLE AND NADINE HINTZE Lyle and Nadine Hintze, of Bountiful, have accepted a call to serve in the Illinois Chicago Mission Mis-sion for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
