Brannan, son of James H. and Arlene Brannan, has accepted a mission call to the Philippines Phi-lippines Davao mission. He will enter en-ter the MTC Sept. 21. His farewell will be on Sept. 18 at 2:20 p.m. at the North Canyon Second Ward, 3350 S. 100 E. Friends, neighbors and relatives are invited to his home at 3418 S. 100 W., following the meeting. David graduated from Woods Cross High School in 1986 and has attended BYU the past two years on a track scholarship. ELDER GOVE Elder Bret A. Gove, son of Robert and Cheryl Gove, has been called to serve the Virginia Roanoke Mission. Prior to his Sept. 14 departure for the MTC, Elder Gove spoke at the Farmington 1 1th Ward on Sept. 11. The new missionary is an Eagle Scout and a graduate of Davis High School and LDS Seminary. ELDER VanALFEN Elder Richard B. VanAlfen, son of Brent and Janet VanAlfen, has accepted a call to serve in the Japan Sendai mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He will enter the MTC Wednes- 9ay, Sept. 21. His farewell will be held Sunday, Sept. 18 at 10:40 a.m. at the North Canyon Sixth Ward, 965 E. Oak-wood Oak-wood Drive, (in Chelsea Cove) Bountiful. All friends and family are invited to visit with Rich at his home at 3620 Bountiful Blvd., Bountiful, following the meeting. Rick spent three weeks last summer sum-mer touring the Soviet Union as a Youth Ambassador and is an Eagle Scout. Upon his return, he will attend the University of Utah on a business-finance scholarship. f Mi;Ylll j: Y Y ; 0 V S' , SUSAN GROBERG Susan Groberg, daughter of John H. and Jean S. Groberg, has accepted a call to serve in the Montevideo, Mon-tevideo, Uruguay mission. She will enter the MTC Sept. 21. Susan graduated from Lincoln High in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where she spent the past year living with her family. A farewell will be held in her honor hon-or at the Bountiful 29th Ward Chapel, 1 190 Bountiful Hills Drive, at 3:15 p.m. There will be an open house afterwards at the home of Stephen and Delia Lee, 1017 S. Millcrest Circle, Bountiful. All who are able are welcome to attend one or both. |
