' y - r i j Candidates to L address Chamber meeting Candidates competing for Davis County Commission seats will be the speakers at the Bountiful Area Chamber of Commerce monthly membership meeting. However, the Republican candidate for the two-year position will be decided on Sept. 13 during the Primary election. Each of the candidates, Harold Tippetts, incumbent, and William "Dub" Lawrence, challenger, received re-ceived approximately 50 percent of the delegate votes at the Republi-can.County Republi-can.County convention. Winner in the primary will be the Republican candidate who will be opposed by Golden Sill, Democrat, of Layton. Howard Stoddard, Democratic candidate, will oppose Gayle HOWARD F. STODDARD Stevenson, who, after retirement from the Davis County School system, sys-tem, was selected to replace Glenn Saunders as county commissioner. One of these gentlemen will be elected for the four year term of GOLDEN C. SILL office. The monthly meeting will be held Wednesday, Sept. 21 at noon in the Servus Drug, 55 N. Main Street, Bountiful. The public is invited in-vited to attend. Lunch is $5. |
