Show Gardner awarded Teaching Position Neil H. Gardner, son of Kumen and Naida Gardner, Cedar City, has been awarded forensics teaching a assistantship at the University of Arizona, Tucson. Gardner has worked with the SUSC forensics squad for nearly two years, serving as assistant coach this year. He will graduate May 30 with a BA in communications and a minor in English and will begin work towards the masters in mass communications com-munications in September. "Neil has worked as assistant coach for the SUSC squad without pay, because he cares about the program," says M. L. Smith, SUSC forensics coach. "He has done a superb job this year and is largely responsible for SUSC's sweepstakes win at the University of California, Long Beach." The 1973 graduate of Cedar High School will be one of two graduate Neil H. Gardner assistants working with the U of Arizona squad next year. "Neil has been awarded this highly prestigious assistantship because, of his experience in judging forensics and because of his high level of analytical ability," Smith says. |
