Show BLM pays State $8 Million nationally was $37million highter than for the previous six months. With the exception of Alaska, each state having public lands receives semiannual semi-annual payments of 50 percent of federal revenues collected within that state from BLM-administered mineral leasing bonuses, rentals and royalties. Alaska receives 75.6 percent of oil and gas royalties, and 88.2 percent of all other mineral rents and bonuses. A check for nearly $8 million has been received by the Utah State Treasurer from the Bureau of Land Mangement. The payment of $7,901,176 is the state's share of federal mineral leasing revenues in Utah for the first six months of fiscal year 1980 which ended March 31. According to Gary George.division of management services chief for BLM in Utah, more than $152 million was distributed among 23 states recently by BLM. The current payment |
