Show Scholarships awarded at assembly $200 as a Sterling Scholar winner. The BYU Deans Scholarships in the amount of $486 were awarded to Barbara Peterson and Suzanne Radmall. The BYU Presidential scholarship in the amount of $970 went to Debra Lynn Wood. Karen Marie Wiebe received a talent scholarship from BYU in the amount of A Ricks College academic scholarship in the amount of $400 was presented to Gayla Goodman. A $600 honors at entrance scholarship to University of Utah was presented to Gary Gregerson and he received an additional $100 as a Sterling Scholar runner up. The scholarships were presented at an awards assembly held just prior to graduation at Cedar High School totaling nearly $22,000. Following is a list of the scholarship recipients: Jeffrey T. Sanderson, a $100 scholarship presented by the Kiwanis Club of Cedar City. Paula Burgoyne was presented with a $462 Academic scholarship to SUSC and she was also the recipient of $100 in scholarship funds as a runner up in the Regional Sterling Scholar Competition. Com-petition. Stewart Jones received a $462 scholarship and Michelle Jackson a $300 scholarship for leadership to attend SUSC. SUSC Activity scholarship were presented to Avece Higbee in the amount of $200; Russell Morrel, $462; Chad Anderson, the Hooper Award in the amount of $462; Scott D.Grimshaw, $231 and an additional $100 as a Sterling Scholar runner-up; and Chris G. Stephenson, $462. The Tim Tucker Memorial SUSC debate scholarship in the amount of $150 was presented to Gayle Morgan. In the areas of Business a full scholarship was presented to Jan Jolley for $462 and an additional $200 as the winner in the Sterling Scholar competition. Lorraine Back was the recipient of the SUSC Family Life and Home Ec. Scholarship in the amount of $231 and she was also awarded , $100 as a Sterling Scholar runnerup. SUSC,,. Technical Scholarships were awarded to Pat Sheehan, $265; Brent Dix $462 plus an additional $100 as a Sterling Scholar runner up; Kathi Joe Hansen, $462; Chris Judd, $462 and Doug Maxwell $462. In Theater Arts SUSC scholarships were presented to Mark R. Jones, $140; and Natalier A. Frehner, $210 plus $100 as a Sterling Scholar runner up. In Foreign Language the SUSC Scholarship went to Alyse Chidester in the amount of $231 plus $100 as a Sterling Scholar runner up. In the area of music Robert Troy Lunt, Michael B. Mitchie and Alyse Chidester were awarded scholarships, all for $231. Marissa Carter was the recipient of a $200 SUSC education scholarship and in English Susan Cosney was presented with a $462 scholarship in addition to $200 as a Sterling Scholar winner. The SUSC Art Scholarship for $462 was presented to Margaret F. Folley. Other SUSC scholarships included $200 each to Susan J. Stone and Lani.M. Wilson, .witfithe State -Normal Scholarship being presented to Lisa Ross in the amount of $462 for four years. Joan Cwik was on hand to present the Pink Ladies Auxiliary Nursing Scholarship in the amount of $300. The recipient was Susan Stone.
