Show American LL action Ken Bettridge team maintained its lead in the second half of the game which was played Friday to defeat Coleman 21-11. The game had gone 2 innings on Monday but was called because of time. Winning pitcherwere Miller, Briggs, and Park with Riddle behing the plate. Leading the scoring for Bettridge were Miller with a homerun and Riddle with a double. Coleman's pitchers were Wright, Roundy, and Taylor. . Roundy and Taylor also did duty as catchers. In the second game of the evening it was 7-Up 11 Carter Bros. 7. Romarek went the distance on the mound for the winners while Hunter caught. Doubles were hit by C. Marchant and J. Hancock. Carter Brothers pitched Whetman, Rosenberg, and . Spencer with Taylor behind the plate. Doubles were hit by Rosenberg and Tom Parry. Taylor was catcher. 7-Up picked up a 13-6 win over Coleman with Anderson going the distance on the mound and Hunter catching. Doubling for 7 UP were C. Anderson (3) and Piacitelli (2). Coleman used Taylor and Roundy pitching and catching for each other. Doubling for them were Wright (2) and Taylor. Rotary got their second win in a 15-1 victory over Realty World. Jones and Weaver took turns on the mound and behind the plate while Harris led the scoring with a double. Pitching for Realty World were Edwards, Ed-wards, Jump and Corry with Stubbs catching. The final game of the week saw Spilsbury-Graff defeating Kiwanis 15-11. Hulet caught for winning pitchers Middleton and Felstead while LaPour and McKinnon led the scoring with doubles. Pitching for Kiwanis were Adair and Jones with Hulet behind the plate. It was Rotary 16--Spilsbury Graff 1 in the first game Tuesday. Jones and Weaver did the pitching and catching while the scoring onslaught was led by C. Weaver with a triple and G. Frehner with a double. Hulet and LaPour did the pitching -for Spillsbury with Felstead behind the plate. Realty World picked up a win of 15-6 over Kiwanis. Winning pitchers were D. Corry and G. Jump with G. Stubbs catching. Leading the scoring were Stubbs with a triple and E. Thomas and Corry with doubles. Kiwanis Ditchers were Rawlinson, Brinkerhoff, and Park with Hulet behind the plate. Bettridge picked up their 2nd win of the week when they i overcame Carter Brothers 11-4. Miller and Briggs did duty on the mound with Riddle catching. Doubling for the winners were McNaught, R. Knight, and R. Tuckett. Pitching for Carter Bros, were Whetman, Spencer and K. Rosenberg. |
