Show HURRICANE Miss Julia Whitney Reporter Mr. and Mrs. George Stevens left Friday for Navajo lake where they will spend a few days fishing. Mrs. Newell Frazer and daughter daugh-ter of Marysvale arrived Tuesday for a week's visit with her parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. G. Ben Wilson. Ellis Wilson of Hatchtown spent Monday visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. G. Ben Wilson. Grant Frehner of Las Vegas spent the week-end visiting with his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. George A. Gibson. Clifton Spendlove of Boulder City spent the week-end visiting with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Spendlove. Acil Stout of Boulder City spent the week-end visiting with his sister, Mrs. Grant Wright. Miss Afton Gibson, who is working work-ing in Cedar City, was a Sunday visitor at the home of her parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Gibson. Ray Spendlove of Boulder City is here visiting with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. Walter Spendlove. Miss Nedra Gibson has gone to Cedar City where she has employment. em-ployment. Mads Gibson left for Salt Lake City on Saturday where he will seek employment. Brent Gibson and Gam Perkins have gone to Zion National Park where they will work until the lodge closes. Mr. and Mrs, Arbon Hall of Cedar City spent the week-end visiting with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lafayette Hall. McKay Hall left Tuesday for Kiabab mountain where he will work on their ranch. Mr. and Mrs. Kumen Stratton and Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Spendlove Spend-love returned recently from a busines trip to Kingman, Ariz. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Petty of I Cedar City were recent visitors at the home of his mother, Mrs. Sarah Petty. 1 Mrs. Ethel Baker left Saturday Satur-day for Paragonah to attend the wedding reception of her daughter, daugh-ter, Pearl, who was married toj Doyle Tophn. Willard Humphries and Delmar Hinton spent the last few days vacationing in Salt Lake City. Alma Wright, who has been working in Salt Lake City, returned re-turned to his home recenty. Mr. and Mrs. Allan Nay and family of Las Vegas stopped in on their way to Montana to visit with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George L. Whitney. Mr. and Mrs. Milo Adams and family of Bunkerville spent Saturday Sat-urday here on business. Miss Carrol Burgener left Friday Fri-day for Salt Lake City to enter the State Fair as the healthiest girl in 4-H clubs in Washington county. Mr. and Mrs. John Tobler of Boulder City and Mr. and Mrs. Lenzi Sullivan and family of St. George were Sunday visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. G. Fen-ton Fen-ton Whitney. Mrs. Barbara Zahner of Washington Wash-ington was a Sunday visitor at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Clinton Clin-ton Hall. Mr. and Mrs. J. Linden Heaton left Sunday for Salt Lake City on business and to attend the State Fair. Elmo Isom, who has been working work-ing in Bryce Canyon was here recently visiting with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Isom. Golden Lang, who is serving in the National Guard, spent Tuesday Tues-day here visiting friends and relatives. rela-tives. Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Prator of Las Vegas were week-end visitors at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Lee. Ray Bradshaw left Saturday for Salt Lake City where he will seek employment. Beulah Barber, who has been employed at Allred's cafe in Springdale, has stopped work for the winter. The business girls of Hurricane j have formed a club of which the following girls are members: Vaun Sanders, Elmeda Bliss, Enid Bradshaw, Brad-shaw, Glenna Webb, Christie Workman, and Jean Riding. The first meeting was held Sunday evening at the home of Miss Riding. Rid-ing. Elmer A. Graff with a number of the F. F. A. boys of Hurricane attended the State Fair in Salt Lake City. Mrs. Arden Sampson and son of Las Vegas are spending a few days visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Hyrum Bradshaw. |
