Show Lapoint Arda Mansfield 247-2375 Sprouses go to Arizona ; Mrs. Leara Sprouse and daughter and son-in-law Mr. and Mrs. Craig Murina left for Glendale, Ariz., last Saturday. Mrs. Sprouse says she is going go-ing to do lemple work at the Mesa Temple Tem-ple and carry on as usual. Motoring to Gunnison, Utah over the weekend were Mr. and Mrs. Matthew Mansfield. They visited the family home and collected items so the house could be rented or sold. Cindy Warburton reported her mission mis-sion Sunday at Lapoint in sacrament meeting. Cindy spent her time in the Eastern mission in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York. There were a lot of family and people from out of town. Glee Rasmussen and family came from Idaho. Mr. and Mrs. Loyal Johnson of Ogden, Mr. and Mrs. Nyle Warburton and family of Vernal, Mr. and Mrs. Bud Rich and family of Nine Mile, an uncle Adrian Kump and family of Vernal, two aunts from Myton. Bonnie I'risk and Sadie Bywater. Mr. and Mrs. Reed Rasmussen are in Salt Lake City buying a new home. They've sold their home in Lapoint lo Mr. and Mrs. Bud Reed. A Gold and Green Ball is being held in the chapel this Friday night, Feb. 26. Everyone is encouraged to attend. The theme is "You Light Up My Life." The young people of the ward are doing the decorating. A birthday party was held this week for Mrs. Joni Fteidhead at the home of her grandmother, Mrs. Thelma Winn. A turkey dinner was served and there was a large crowd in attendance. A very disastrous thing happened last Friday night. All the lights went out in Lapoint. I'm sure that no one appreciates ap-preciates anything until it is gone. This was the darkest night Lapoint has spent since the lights were turned on 40 years ago. I'm sure we'll all have back up lighting from now on. We can thank Moon Lake Electric for being so prompt to the call. |
