Show Moon Lake Electric rate increase hearing Moon Lake Electric Association's Board of Directors will hear a proposal to increase rates at a public hearing scheduled for 10 a.m., April 23, at the Moon Lake Electric office, 188 West 2nd North, in Roosevelt. The requested increase will raise revenues for Utah by 3.57 percent or $326,831. The additional revenue will only cover the increased cost of power, labor and material; therefore, the rate of return on rate base will remain at the allowed 7 percent in compliance with Presidential guidelines. The action to adjust rates upwards is necessary in spite of the many cost saving programs and methods of improving efficiency that have been initiated by the company com-pany in an effort to keep up with inflation. in-flation. All rate schedules for Utah consumers con-sumers will go up 1.05 mills per kilowatthour as of May 1, if the increase in-crease is approved. The new rate w.l add $1.11 to the average residential consumer's monthly bill, according to Moon Lake Electric. |
