Show Experience wSfs Dancers, remember the short rehearsal this Friday night, for the Monday night program at the Vernal Junior High School. The cold wind showed its miserable head Friday night, so some of the dancers stayed home. It was a wee bit smaller crowd, but as usual everyone attending had an enjoyable time. Happy birthday was sung to Bernice Ainge. Our accordionist Elma Smith is recuperating in the LDS Hospital after surgery Wednesday of last week. She is doing fine. Also on the sick list is Leah Allred. We hope both of these fine ladies will be well soon to be back with us. Get-well cards were signed for both during the dance. We were sorry to hear about Merle Horrocks' mishap. Talked to her Monday and she is doing great, she said they will be to the dance on the 25th for the visit of the SCL Friendship Club. See you there too. Blood pressure for the month of April will be held on the 28th, after the dinner on Monday. If you are unsure of your health, come and have your blood pressure checked at the Golden Age Center, starting at 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. Bingo winner for the week of April 8, was Vernal Gehring, with five games. Second was Marion Swain and Edith Gale both with four games. Third was also a tie between Nola McNeil and Alice Mott, both have three games apice. If you are 55 and over come join in all the fun they have at the bingo table. If is not only women who play you men, last week Richard Murray and John Smith both tied having two games apiece. So come and join the fun. Monday's dinner at the Golden Age Center on April 14 had 120 attending the roast beef dinner. Melba Sergeant entertained the group with her lovely organ music.
