In Louisville, Kentucky they saw a factory where baseball bats were made and where the Kentucky Derby is run. Geraldine Parkin from Shingle Springs, Spr-ings, California, returned home after a two week visit with her mother Flora Hall. Lyle and Sarah Glines went to Salt Lake City to be with Charles Rae Glines when he had his back surgery at the LDS Hospital. He is now at his sister's home in Magna, Ut., recuperating. The family of Rowena Richens gathered for a visit. Those visiting were Owen and Octora Haws Wall from Pcn-ticton, Pcn-ticton, British Columbia, May Haws Mish from Mesa, Arizona, Valetta Cann from Salt Lake City, Freda Caldwell, Avis Ashley and Velva Harrison of Maeser, Frances and Bernice Richens of Vernal. Jim Goodman has spent his leave from the Air Force with his parents Barney and Leah Goodman. His son, Shane Goodman, has been here a month on spring vacation from school. Loran and Kstella Richens, Cody and Gail Jenkins went to Craig, Colorado to a viewing for Tommy Tervenin last Tuesday evening. Dee and Clara Jenkins, Merle Oaks, Breatrice Bennion and Rulh Murray from Myton attended the funeral for Tommy Tervenin Wednesday, April 9, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Tervenin. Tommy spent his summers working for his uncle Dee on the farm in Maeser.
