Show Jensen 1 Vera Snow Phone 789-0628 I Ward Murray recuperating at home TOO LATE FOR LAST WEEK-Mr. & Mrs. Ward Murray are home after Ward underwent open heart surgery and Verna was treated for infection by doctors in Salt Lake City. It is advised that Ward have no visitors for awhile. Marilyn and Todd Wallis of Topeka, Kansas were met by Mrs. Meril Johns ( Ellen ) at the Salt Lake airport Dec 26, and stayed at the Johns home overnight. over-night. Thur. morning, Sylvia Slaugh and Gawain Snow motored to Salt Lake City and returned home that evening, bringing the Wallis' to Jensen, where they spent the next three days visiting with close relatives and friends. Monday Mon-day morning they were taken to Grand Junction by the Ross Snows where they then boarded the Frontier plane to return to Topeka. Janet Slaugh accompanied accom-panied her grandparents to Grand Junction. Mr. & Mrs. Robert Raines are rejoicing rejoic-ing the arrival of a new daughter Dec. 27 at the Uintah Co. Hospital. Sadie MacKnight returned home Dec. 27 after spending ten days with a touring tour-ing group in Hawaii. Rick and Dorrene Francom and sons from Provo, Ut. have spent the past week with Dorrene's parents, the Meril Snows. They returned home Jan. 3. Rick is a barber near the missionary LTC and besides teaching part-time at a nursery school, Dorrene is training to be a cobbler, shoe repair lady. Joe Haslem spent Christmas day at the home of the Sam Haslcms in Hayden, Colo. They brought Ruth from Steamboat to spend the day with them. She is really improving Joe reports. She now walks without the aid of a walker. Blanche, Velda, Jana and Mandi Lee' Wilkins and Velda's mother, Mrs. Akelund, and Willis Akelund were all dinner guests of the Danny Sessions' Christmas day. Mrs. Lylc Karren and son visited her grandmother, Blanche Wilkins, week before last. A good time was enjoyed by all marrieds who attended the New Year's Eve party at the cultural hall. All family members of the late Mr. & Mrs. Corwin Snow were invited Christmas eve to a get-together at the family home where the Jim Snows now live. Barbara was unable to be here because of illness. However, she and her husband, Morey Yates did come, Dec. 28 and visited the brothers and families. Sunday afternoon the Yates' went on to Itangely, Colo, to see Morey's mother and other relatives. Morey's sister, Janice, accompanied the Yates' from Newport Beech, Calif. Mr. and Mrs. While Ainge motored to Bountiful, Ut, where they spent n few days with the Jack Kcnfroes and other relatives. Dec. 30, a large audience filled the chapel and into the cultural hall, to hear Scot Kupc report his Central America Mission. |
