A baby girl weighing 7 pounds 11 ounces, 22 inches long, will be named Jessfea. She was born Jan. 3. Howard and Susan Weaver have a baby boy, born Jan. 4 at Uintah County Hospital-The baby weighed 7 pounds 13 ounces and will be named Spencer Donald. Charles and Leri Dawn Smith of Pro-vo Pro-vo visited their parents, Ray and Vergie Gee, New Year's Eve and had dinner with them New Year's Day before returning to their home. Bishop and Mrs. Lawrence Kay went to Manti Jan. 3 to attend the wedding of their niece, Debra Caldwell and Paul Francis in the Manti Temple. Janice Hansen had surgery Dec. 19 at St. Mark's Hospital in Salt Lake City on Dec. 23. She went via air to Beltsville, Maryland, and spent Christmas with her father. Then she went to Alabama and visited her mother. She returned Jan. 1. Ralph and Nellie Southam accompanied accom-panied by Janice Hansen and Clair Southam went to Salt Lake City Wednesday of last week. Clair went for medical attention and the Ralph Southams on business. While there they visited the Merlin Moon family and the Kenneth Moons. Steven Cook, Kirk Reynolds, Andy Mitchell and Tyrell Richards went to Steamboat Springs, Colo, to ski Monday of last week. Rhea Goodrich accompanied her son, Dr. and Mrs. Sydney Goodrich, and family to their home in Rainier, Oregon, for a short visit. She returned via air. Porter Merrell of Duchesne visited Ashel and Elva Manwaring Tuesday of last week. Angala Pack had surgery at the St. Mark's Hospital in Salt Lake City last week. The Dee Jay Packs are caring for the children. Lester Nielsen returned from a visit over the holidays with his children in Fairview and Pleasant Grove. Nellie Richens and Gloria Hughes and family went to Fruita, Colo, and visited over the New Year's holiday with the Charles Everette family. Charles and Fern Everette of Fruita, Colo, were over night guests of their mother, Nellie Richens, Saturday night. Saturday, Dec. 29, Sally Ann Merrell took the Amtrac from Salt Lake City to Los Angels, CA. She spent several days at South Gate, CA. visiting friends and relatives. The group spent the night at the Rose Parade route in order to have good seats for the Rose Parade. She met a group of students at the international interna-tional airport in Los Angeles Thursday and they left for Hawaii where they will attend college, winter semester. |
