Show Larry AAcKinney is a Boise State forward Larry McKinney, a Uintah High School graduate in 1976, is a starting forward on Boise State basketball team. The 6'10" forward competed two years at Snow College, and is a junior at the Idaho school after having red-shirted red-shirted last year. McKinney scored ten points in a 66 to 62 overtime loss to Weber State by Boise State in Ogden, Friday. The Broncos played the game with a stall offense and the score at the end of the first half was' 28-28. The game was tied up at 54-54 to force an overtime period. Boise State had a 43 to 34 lead with 8:34 left in the game, but Todd Harper, Richard Smith and David Johnson rallied Weber back to a 54-54 tie. Smith hit a layup to tie the game at 54 points with 21 seconds left. Larry McKinney missed the first shop of a one and one situation with six seconds left and the game went into overtime. Weber outscored Boise State in the overtime period, 12 to 8. I McKinney hit 5 out of 7 field goals and missed three free throw attempts. The top scorer for Weber State was Bruce Collins with 19 points and Boise State's number one scorer was Dave Richardson with 18 points. Vernal's McKinney has been averaging a little over 14 points per game and has been pulling down 8 boards per contest.
