Show ( Voice of Experience By Diedra Northern Blood Pressure Clinic will be held this month on the 28th of January. This will be after the dinner, at 2 p.m. here in the Golden Age Center. Coming events for the month of January at the Golden Age Center are: Dinners at the center every Monday at 12:30; dinners every Wednesday at the Vernal Junior High School, beginning at 1 p.m.; Pool Monday thru Saturday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; ladies pool every Thursday afternoon at 2 p.m.; bingo is played every Tuesday starting at 1:30; and dance every Friday night to the music of Newel's Harmony Four, starting star-ting at 9 p.m. Begin your new year right, if you are 55 and over, come down to the Golden Age Center and see what you have been missing. If you need a ride, we also have transportation that will come and pick you up, and take you home again. Monday's dinner at the Golden Age Center, was enjoyed by 130 senior citizens, while they were eating the roast beef dinner Tony Woodhouse and Melba Sargeant played a duet, Tony played his trumpet and Melba played the piano. We would like to thank both of them for the wonderful entertainment entertain-ment they provided. On the menu for January 14, is: Turkey pot pie; green and jello salads; rolls; cheese plate; donuts and ice cream. Social Security will not be held at the Golden Age Center anymore. It will be Jan. 16, this is on a Wednesday, at the Job Service office. The busy holidays didn't slow the Friday Fri-day night dancers down as the house was full again. Newcomers were: Lawrence and Pearl Allen, Dan and Thelma Thacker, and Charles Lewis. Welcome back to Pudge and Beverly Merkley, Elva Bowthorpe and Thelma Winn. Happy birthday was sung to Dick Adams and Francis Lenox. A get-well card was signed by the dancers for Shirley and Bernice Ainge. Shirley broke a few ribs, while Bernice is fighting a flu bug. We wish them a speedy recovery. Loraine Farnsworth sends a big "thank you", for the lovely Christmas card with all the dancers signatures. Many of the dancers supported sup-ported the dance in Roosevelt Saturday night. For a good night of clean fun and good music, stop in every Friday night at the Golden Age Center.
