Show Lion's Club performs services for community There will be a Lion's Club directors meeting January 16 at noon at the Diamond Hills Restaurant. The regular club meeting will be held January 23 at 7 p.m. at the Lamplighter. The Lion's mid-winter Conference and Banquet will be held in Salt Lake City, Saturday, February 2. Guest speaker will be International Director, L. Blaine Rush of Kansas. Members are also urgci to make plans now to attend the State Convention Con-vention at Park City, Utah, May 29, 30, and 31. The "Recreational Services Committee" Com-mittee" has written a letter to the County Commissioners requesting a full time caretaker be appointed to take care of the "Remember the Maine Park." Concern was expressed about the vandalism at the park and the upkeep of it. The "Sight Conservation Committee" Com-mittee" has provided an eye examination and eye glasses to two needy youngsters. The "Social Services Committee" packed and delivered baskets of food for six needy families over the Christmas Holiday. The "Health Services Committee" have received the new schedule for the Lion's Mobile Clinical Testing Van. Vernal is scheduled for two days in June and are requesting help from Lions and medical people to help man the van. More information will be forthcoming. for-thcoming.
