Funeral sen-ices were held Monday, Dec. 3 for William Schley Mann who iedof a heart attack in the Uintah Co. Hospital Nov. 29. Bishop Dwain Soderquist conducted the service which began at 11 a.m. in the Vernal 4th Ward chapel. Speakers at the funeral were Roy Anderson, Calvin Jorgensen, and Ralph Sid-iway. Sid-iway. Aubra Hodgkinson dedicated the grave at the Vernal Memorial Park. Mann was born July 1, 1898. to Harry lippencott Mann and Christina Kasmussen in Heber City, Ut. He aarried Fontella Bryant on Dec. 30, 132 in Vernal. While in Vernal, Mann worked as a lint contractor and he was active as a High Priest in the Vernal -4th ward, a inner High Priest Group Leader, served as secretary in the MIA and Eiders Quorum, served on the finance remittee for the 4th Ward while it was ieisg built. He also was the first isident of the Vernal Golden Age Center, Senior Citizen of the Year in :?jand was a stand-in in the the movie Jeremiah Johnson. He is survived by his wife, Christina Jasmussen; two daughters, Mrs. lavne (Jackie) Wilkins of Vernal and Is. Gars- tWilma) Stewart of Sandy, 1; two brothers, Alfred Mann of ioooga Park, CA. and Carl Mann of fctank.CA.; three sisters, Mrs. Mary THg of Fruita, CO., Mrs. Harold Juanita ) Workman of Anaheim, CA., 'd Mrs. Mettie Owen of Woodburn, -R.: seven grandchildren and two feat -grandchildren. Pallbearers were Gary G. Stewart, 3rett M. Wilkins, Alfred Mann, Wayne j. Wilkins, Michael W. Wilkins and M R. Mann. Honorary Pallbearers were Randy A. jay, David J. Peterson, and the High West Quorum. |
