Monday evening at the Legion Hall, Barton Snow and Auer Warren were elected to the Board. Harden Nelson Sr.'s term as secretary and treasurer expired and he told the Board he didn't care to run again. He has served in this capacity for 23 years. Greg Sharp and Linda Werner were united in marriage in the Salt Lake Temple Nov. 30. The following evening they were honored with an open house at the Jensen Ward cultural hall. Linda's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Werner, and sister from Pittsburg, PA., were in attendance. Besides Greg's parents, sister and brothers who live in Jensen and Vernal, his sister, Pauline, came home from college and Mr. and Mrs. Scott Sharp and family from Bountiful attended. A large crowd greeted the young couple during the evening. Hilda Morgan was overnight guest Monday evening at the Ross Snows. Denise, the small daughter of Leo and Leta Snow was rushed by ambulance am-bulance to the Uintah County Hospital Sunday evening after suffering convulsions. con-vulsions. The doctor on duty checked her thoroughly and let her return home with her parents. Fever rising too fast may have caused her problem, the doctor decided. The first meeting of the Jensen Better Livestock Club was held Nov. 23 at 7:30 p.m. The following members were elected to hold office for the coming year: David Snow-president; Shelly Wall-vice president; Sharalyn Slaugh-secretary ; Rebecca Snow-reporter; Snow-reporter; Vickie Snow-song leader; Brent Morril-recreation chairman; Dana and Joan Snow-refreshment committee. Harlan and Vickie Wilkins are the club leaders. January 2, 1980 is the date of the next meeting. Mr. William Turner returned home from San Diego after attending Loyal's graduation from "boot training" in the U.S. Navy. He and his wife also visited in Chico, CA., with their daughter, Sherrie, and family. Mrs. Turner . stayed at Sherrie's home to help for a while. The Dec. meeting of Mutual Married will be held Dec. 7. A fun evening has been planned at the Cultural Hall at 7:30 p.m. Vera Snow was honored on her birthday bir-thday by a visit from her brother, Bill Harrison, and his small son, Chuck. Later in the evening family members greeted her, served birthday supper, and then Ross and Vera attended the school play "Brigadoon" with the Wade Slaugh family. The Louis G. Vincents, the Loren Ruppes, and the Randy Vincents have moveu liuu ineir new ituiiies. me Verlin Vincents home will soon be ready for occupancy. Sam Haslem from Hayden, CO., came and moved his mother, Ruth Haslem, from the Uintah County Hospital to a rest home in Steamboat Springs, CO. Ruth made the trip fine and is reported improving. Joe and Pat Haslem went to Steamboat Springs to visit Ruth Nov. 30. Then Pat went by plane back to her home and family in Susanville, CA. Joe Haslem motored to Steamboat Springs Sunday to visit Ruth, returning Monday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Dale Snow motored to Salt Lake City Sunday and returned Monday afternoon. |
