Women golfers sponsor local fashion show Ladies Golf members and guests enjoyed a fashion show Tuesday, Nov. 27 which featured styles from the local "Classic." Wilma Bowden set the season with fashions for all occasions and ages with styles from lounge and nightwear to casual afternoon and dressy to sophisticated evening wear. Narration was created by Alma McFarland and presented by Dorcy Rowen. Footwear was furnished by "Lloyd's Shoes" and hairstyles were created by "Joyce's House of Beauty" as well as the "Natural Woman." Children's wear was modeled by Missi Farr and Michele Bowden. Fashions to delight teens and sub-teens were worn by Linda Lee and Sherry Bowden. Betsi McGee presented coordinates for the young junior age. Adult apparel, featuring fashions to please all ages and tastes, was modeled by Erma Casada, Brenda Logan, JaNeil Gardner, Gwen Crofts, Sandra Sulser, and Janice Day. A short skit was presented by Alma McFarland, which showed the audience the transformation of an early "A.M. individual," wrapped in a robe and disheveled appearance, into a sharply dressed individual, applying imagination with accessories and interchangeable in-terchangeable apparel to enhance the day's demands right into the twilight and evening hours. The grand finale featured party attire in colorful evening gowns for all ages. A business meeting was called to order prior to the fashion parade and Lucille Phillips, president, announced the annual Christmas party to be Saturday, Dec. 15, at the home of Karm Miller. |
