Show BOARD ORDERS CAR FOR HALEY Surveyor Receives County Backing Reversing previous action. Salt Lake county commissioners Wednesday Wed-nesday ordered a county-owned automobile au-tomobile made available for use by Surveyor George M. Haley, effective effec-tive April 1. The action wa taken by the same two commissioners Roscoe Boden and J. B. Mulllns who voted vot-ed to cut Mr. Haley'a budget and deprive him of the automobile he had been using at a meeting In January. Commissioner Boden made the recommendation at Wednesdsy's meeting In the absence of Commissioner Commis-sioner J. R. Rawlins, who had previously pre-viously opposed cutting the surveyor's sur-veyor's budget. The commission last week restored re-stored to Mr. Haley two employes. It had been necessary for him to cut his staff personnel when his budget was cut by the commissioners. commis-sioners. In his letter requesting more help In his office Mr. Haley also appealed for return of his official automobile, but commissioners at that time denied the request.
