Show "Felons Trade Prison Sheep LEADVTLLE, Colo March 27 UP) A prisoner at the Colorado reformatory ranch near Leadvllle bartered away three ewe sheep owned by the institution for three half-gallon Jugs of wine, a witness (stifled In district court Joe Gallegos, a reformatory Inmate In-mate assigned to the ranch, testified testi-fied Tuesday that Louis Martinez, Lake county rancher, made the trade with the prisoner. Martinet traded a radio battery for another sheep, the wRneas said. Martinez at the first of five ranchers to go on trial on charges of obtaining sheep from the reformatory re-formatory flock. The others, arrested ar-rested last October, are Celestlna Montoya, Felix Gallegoa, Roy Munoa and Philips Maes. |
