Show Roosevelt's Census Proclamation In 23 Tongues Appear in S. L Appeal of President Asks Cooperation Of All U. S. Residents The proclamation of President Roosevelt calling all American citizen citi-zen to cooperation with th sixteenth six-teenth decennial census was posted Wednesday in Salt Lake City, so that ail persons though they read only foreign language will be aware of the nation's largest Information In-formation quiz. The proclamation posters are written in 23 languages, including English, and point out that the "sole purpose of 'the census is to secure general statistical information informa-tion regarding the population, business busi-ness activities and resource of the country, and replies are required re-quired from Individuals only to enable en-able the compilation of such general gen-eral statistic. No person can be harmed in any way by furnishing the Information required." The president's proclamation is printed In the following languages, besides English : German, Spanish, French, Russian, Slovak, Greek, Lithuanian, Serbo-Croation, Julian, Jul-ian, Dutch, Slovene, Jewish, Finnish, Fin-nish, Ukrainian, Polish, Swedish.
