Show Pantages Patrons Treated to Fine Opening Bill A PROGRAM so well balanced that each number is keenly enjoyed by the audience au-dience besan at the Pantages last night. Its acts cover nil the popular phases of vaudeville and there are no two that destroy de-stroy the effect of each other. "Olives," the hcadliner, is a musical farce with three scenes. It is full of dancing, humor and songr, and it has a bevy of exceptionally exception-ally pretty girls. A freshness about the damsels, which makes them appear to be enjoying a private party rather than reciting re-citing assigned parts, gives the produc-tion produc-tion an unusual charm. Tho singing is good atirl the songs will linger in the memories of all who like, popular music, while the jokes and ludicrous situations provoke laughter even from the confirmed grouch. A love affair furnishes the story- A-oertain A-oertain girl, called Annabelle, one of seven sisters, is to receive a fortune providing she marry Tom, and the young man's father fa-ther has promised her that his son shall become her husband. P,!-it Wc-orl. the "boob and his harmonica," is especially good. That a common little mouthnruan should contain such musical possibilities Is no small surprise, and the antii-s performed by Hrit while playing are delightful. "TwKe a Week" is a one-net comedy based on t.'c deception of matrimony. A widow and a widower meet at tho cemetery ceme-tery gate, and after exchanging testimonies testi-monies in regard to the fidelity of their departed ones, each swears to remain forever for-ever true to the dead. Then it is dis covered that the man and woman who have passed away were in love with each other .ml carried on a flirtntion for years. Of course, there is only one solution to such a situation.
