IS.- Alter being closed ten uveks to the day, the ban against churches, schools, theaters, poo! halls and public gatherings was removed today by tho city board of health. Action was taken at a meeting attended by representatives repre-sentatives of the churches, the theaters ;i nri selinnls 'Plus nnliir far ! h .i rpmnv.il of the ban was followed by the immediate immedi-ate opening up of the pool halls and preparations were made ir the opening of the motion picture houses tomorrow. The churches will resume their services Sunday and the schools will begin on Monday, December 'S'K From October whvn the first death from influenza was reported, up to this morning theio were I'-l deaths In the city. There wore cases of the in fluenza reported to the health board. The largest number of c;os.'s reported in any one week was from November ') to IS. The greater per cent of these casus followed the armistice celebration, when there was a total of 641 cases. The largest number of deaths in any one week was thirty-six, reported between November Novem-ber 23 and 30. The smallest number of deaths reported was in the week ended December 7, when there were nine casualties. casu-alties. Seventy per cent of the victims of the epidemic have been men and women of the city between 21- and 38 years of age. The number of new cases of the Influenza Influ-enza reported to the city health board to- day was given as thirteen, the same number num-ber of new cases as was reported yesterday. yes-terday.
