Fifteen slates liave approved ap-proved tho amendment and the board declares de-clares that thirty other states, tlio legislatures legis-latures of which will meet next month, will vote favorably on the proposal for nat ion-wide prohibition. The states which the board declares will ratify the amendment at ttie coming legislative sessions are Alabama, Arkansas. Arkan-sas. California, Colorado, Connecticut, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, M issnuri, Nebraska. Nevada, New Hampshire. New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Utah, Vermont, Washington, Wisconsin, West Virginia and Wyoming. Pennsylvania is classed as "hopeful," New York "an even proposition," and New Jersey "probably opposed." |
