Show CHANGES HIS PLEA; SENTENCED TO JAIL J. ' O. DeRocco pleaded guilty to a charge of petty larceny before Judge J. Louis Brown of the Third district court yesterday morning, for the theft of a Violin, and was sentenced to serve six months in the county jail. He was first charged with grand larceny and held on this charge after having been given a preliminary hearing. He consented yesterday yes-terday to plead guilty to the reduced charge and was permitted to do so. The violin, said to be worth $300, was stolen from William F. Lyons, an aged musician, mu-sician, who said that he was dependent upon the instrument for earning his living. |
