DEL HOWARD PLEASED WITH OAKS' SHOWING S'peeia! to The Tribune. BOTES' SPRINGS, Cal., March 2?,. The Oaks returned to the training camp today to-day after being away almost two weeks, and .Manager Del Howard treated the boys to a layoff. There was only work for the stay-at-homes, as the regulars have been kept rather on the jump with their exhibition games on their home lot. Boss Del does not try to hide his pleasure pleas-ure at the showing of the Oaks in breaking break-ing even with the Cubs in the four games plaved so far. The team Is shaping up well. Starting tomorrow, there will be dally workouts until the Oaks play the Cubs In the final game on Sunday morning. The last week before the season opens will be devoted to brushing up the inside workings work-ings of the squad.
