BOARD TO CONSIDER PLEA FOR HEATON Young Life Prisoner's Application to Come Up for Disposition Next Friday Morning. The special meeting of the board of pardons to consider the. application of Alvin Heat.on for a termination of sentence, sen-tence, which was announced to have been held at the state prison yesterday, has been postponed until next Frida'v and will be held in the office of the governor at 10 a. m. Heaton is a young man under life sentence for murder committed in Kane county. For seven years he has been a trusty at the state prison, acting as a dining room waiter m the household of Warden Arthur Pratt. The warden has asked the board of pardons to terminate the sentence so that Heaton may leave the prison at the same time that the warden quits his official position there, April 1. The board has consented . to release the younq man. Warden Pratt has secured a position for Heaton, who -will return to his family and friends and make a new start in life.
