Mr. Hughes will be in Ogden on the afternoon of that day, coming to Salt Lake for dinner. He will remain here until Friday morning, August 25, according ac-cording to "the itinerary, and will then leave for Cheyenne, whero he is scheduled sched-uled to speak' the night of August 25. John K. Hardy, vice chairman of the Republican state committee and acting head of the organization, said last night that, the committee had not yet made anv arrangements for Mr. Hughes's visits in Utah, as the committee commit-tee has been awaiting definite information infor-mation from tbe Hughes headquarters regarding tho candidate's own plans ana itinerary. It goes without saying, said Mr. Hardv, that a big public mass meeting will be arranged here for the night of August 2-1 in order that the voters may hear Mr. Hughes speak. Inasmuch as Mr. Hughes will come down from Ogden Og-den in the. late afternoon, a dinner will probably bo arranged also. All the plans will, of course, defer to Mr. Hughes's own wishes. Mr. Hughes will travel on a special train and will come to Utah from Reno, Re-no, Nev. |
