Show UNION MINERS ARE ORDERED TO LEAVE EUZARETHTOWN, Til.. Aug. 1. Scores of striking uinon miners, many accompanied by their families, came to Elizabethtown from Rosiclare today, reporting re-porting that they had been ordered to leave that community by 6 o 'clock tonight. to-night. The order, the refugees said, came from'deptity sheriffs acting under orders of mine officials and with the approval of part of the town officers of Rosiclare. Rosi-clare. They accuse the sheriff of appointing ap-pointing as deputies armed guards employed em-ployed by the mine ownors. The developments were a sequel to a shooting affray yesterday in which three men were wounded, two probably fatally. fatal-ly. The orders to move were delivered to all unionists today and all except a few obeyed the warning, according to the refugees. |
