Show City Levy Is Fixed. Special to The Tribune. PROVO. Aug. 1. A tax of 8 3-10 mills on provo city property for 1916 has been levied by the city commission. The tax is distributed as follows: Contingent expense, ex-pense, 2 mills: waterworks, irrigation, etc., 2 mills: streets arid alleys, 4 mills; state road within the corporate limits, -i mill; interest on bonds, 1H mills; sewers and drains. i mill ; public library, 3-10 mill. The revenue to be derived from this levy will be about $r-7,000. The Provo city board of education has levied a 4 7-10 mill tax. 3 7-10 for general gen-eral purposes and 1 mill for the sinking fund for the redemption of bonds. |
