Show COUNTY IS TO TEST SAMPLES OF WATER Sanitation Officer and Inspector Make Trip to Examine Into Source of City i Supply in Big Cottonwood. j For the purpose of further te-ds and inspection of tho city's water supply from Pig Cut ton wood canyon. Dr. Samuel G. Paul, county sanitation officer, and J. j L. Wi'ller. chief inspector, yesterday made a tour of the canyon. On the trip &am- j plH of the creek water were laken from j Brighton to the mouth of the canyon and these will he turned over to Dr. i Hardie Lynch, county pathologist, fori the test for colon and other bacilli. I Samples of tho Big Cottonwood waters j were taken over a week ago and under teal were found to how the presence of j colon bacilli. It wan atated by the : pathologist, however, that tho test could hardly be considered as fair, since there had been a considerable delay in making the tests. For Ibis reason it was decided de-cided to secure new samples. The inspection party was also concerned as- to tiie improvement over former cun-dttlona cun-dttlona by the Intiod net ion of the me tiactor trains. The trains were put in;o service to eliminate the use of several hundred head of horses on t he roadway road-way and remove possible contamination from pregnated dust. Since the ore t rains have been In service for some time, the health officers expect to find a bettered condition in the water supply. |
