On Wednesday afternoon the members of the Ladies' Aid society of the Baptist Bap-tist church pleasantly surprised Mrs. A. Olander ot her home on West Seven--teenth South street, A delicious luncheon was served by the ladies. After the luncheon, the retiring president, Mrs. A-J. A-J. Hoenes, was presented with a pin as a token of appreciation for her earnest work. A hand-tinted plate was also pre- . sented to Mrs. Samuel Sheriff, who expects ex-pects to leave during the month for St. Louis, where she will make her home. Twenty guests enjoyed the afternoon.
