Show OAKLAND EASY; PITCHERS ARE BATTERED HARD Special to The Tribune. SAN FRANCISCO, May 27. Oakland didn't stand a chance today against Los Angeles in a game that ended 4 to 1 in the southerners' favor nnd which showed up the Oakland pitchers so badly that Rowdy Elliott remarked that he would I release his whole pitching squad if they didn't win some games soon. Horstman's first inning was his worst and it noted the only tally the Oaks made. Middle ton ouened with a single, was bunted along to third and scored on a walk and a single. Los Angeles caught their gait in the thlrdfl Borstman beat out a slow one to first and regiestered when Maggert poled against the fence and Ellis sent his second sec-ond hit crashing into right field. With the bases full in the sixth, Butler, who has been doing some timely hitting for the last two series, sent a punch at third and, as the ball bounded away from Barbeau, two runs came across. Boles, nn third, worked the double steal with Butler fnr the last of the tallies. Oakland was unable to do any further scoring after that. LOS ANGELES. AB. R. H. PO. A. E.
