Show POLICE ARREST NINE ALLEGED GAMBLERS Sweeping down on the Broadway Athletic club in the Wayne hotel last night, police officers arrested nine men and charged them with gambling. Several Sev-eral tables, cards, poker chips and other oth-er gambling paraphernalia were taken to headquarters as evidence. Included in r.he number of arrests were Wade Mallotte, who was shot by former Chief of Police C. W. Shores in the Moxum hotel February LM, when the officers endeavored to arrest him on charges of selling opium. Police Inspector A. J. Mailings superintended su-perintended the raid and was assisted by Detectives C A. Williams, J. A. Egbert Eg-bert and II . R. McMullin and Patrolman Patrol-man .1. W. Milner. Those arrested were ii. T. Jones, Bert Wilson, Wade Mallotte, J. T. Clark, J. D. Patterson, William Young, Frank Lundy, J. Smith and John Burger. |
