Show BRANCH RAILROAD PLAN TAKES FORM Meeting of Business Men Appoints Committee Com-mittee to Shape Proposal Up to Definite Purposes. TWIN FALLS, Idnho, May 27. Seaver land C. J. Miller of Caatleford, J. A. T. b Wnrncr of Twin Falls. At thia meeting two courses of pro-eedure pro-eedure in the building of the road were suggested and discussed. One was the enlisting of the aid and co-operation of j the Oregon Short Line; the other the building of the road and its operation by local people. In the meantime the members of tho committee named are working up enthusiasm en-thusiasm throughout the district concerned con-cerned and among lot-a 1 business men, securing financial" pledges and promoting promot-ing the proposition generally. The Hue proposed would extend seven teen miles west of Twin Falls through a rich and well settled community, and give it the market and transportation facilities it so greatly needs. Considerable encouragement was given the promoters of the line by the visit to this community this week of W, A. Burigo, manager of the Amalgamated Sugar company factory at Burle-y. Mr. Budge made the visit at the instance of L. K. Kccles. manager of the company, to investigate the feasibility of establishing estab-lishing a beet sugar factory at Castle-ford. Castle-ford. He was accompanied by T. L. Ferrin, engineer for the Amalgamated Sugar company. |
