We scatter seed, from youth to ago. Which brings forth tares or wheat; Kach word or action )f a seed I Each, heart is soil, I ween. And aftersowing in good lime The harvest shall be seen. "Some seed mav fall on stonv ground " As said In days of old. But thai which falls on good ground mav Bring forth an hundred fold. Then he not diary of your smiles Your joy with others share: Speak alwavs kindly? over try To banish pain and care. The seed of scandal, anger, hale, Are thorns and thistles spread. And over them in after years Our feet may have to tread; Then ever as we paps along May we no more forget To scatter Kolden grains of wheat And fragrant mignonette. And Ho. to whom each knee shall bow 'Die God we love and trust Who sendctli sun and rain unto The just and the unjust. Will look with sorrow nr with smiles Where'er our feel may roam. And in His own good time proclaim Each sower s harvest home. |
