Show SENIORS DRAGGED INTO MILL CREEK Juniors of Granite Victors in Tug-of-Wax; Exhibits at Fair Attract Considerable Con-siderable Attention. Student activities are in full swing at Granite high school and indications point to a most successful year. The juniors, In a burst of bravado. Issued a challenge to the seniors for a tug-of-war over Mill Creek stream and incidently dragged them through the chilling waters. Glee clubs are being organized to encourage en-courage and foster muslcaJ sentiment and talent in the school. Among the boys Walter Emery ras chosen president of one of the clubs, with Malvern Gerrard as secretary. The Granite Wireless association as-sociation is also very active. They are demonstrating their work at the fair, where Granite la well represented. The Agricultural club boys have set up a number of very Interesting exhibits. A mong these a re poultry-era te fa tten-ing, tten-ing, milk testing, treatment of diseased seed potatoes, corn drying and preserving, preserv-ing, disease preventives in grain and beets, and many others of equal practical practi-cal value to the farmer. The student body legislature has selected se-lected the persons to fill the vacancies which occurred at the beginning of the school year on the Granltian staff. Prank Murphy, a Junior, lias been chosen for the office of business manager. Lurile Dtmond will act as literary editor. Mise Dlinorid is a senior. Art hur Gudmund-son, Gudmund-son, managing editor of the paper, expresses ex-presses a great deal of confidence in his new associates and promises the first Issue will be out about October 15. |
