Show MINE RESCUE TEAM PROVES INTERESTING In tine with the policy of the state fair association to make the fair an educational educa-tional Institution, the hoard of directors has brought, the Mohrland mine rescue and first aid team of the ConBolldaied Fuel company here to give dailv demonstrations demon-strations In mine rescue, and first aid work. The frnm arrived the opening day of :h fair and has been giving from two to a dozen demonstrations dally, as demanded de-manded by the visitors. The team has been one of the big attractions at-tractions of the mines building. People have thronged the place all day and half the night In an effort to see Just how the work Is done. The room Is entirely too small to accommodate the crowds, and the men have been kept repeating their demonstrations ion after they were supposed to have heen released. The men never know what problem they will he called upon to work until It Is read to them by the state mine Inspector Just before each demonst ration. The whvs and wherefores of each move are explained ex-plained In detail as the demonstration proceeds, making It an Instructive as well as a novel feature. The work of the team has attracted such attention that It has been requested to give demonstrations before the Salt bake fire department and some of the classes of the University of Utah. The demonstration before the firemen will be given this morning, and before the university uni-versity clfisses tomorrow. The team will remain at the fair up to and including next Wednesday. |
