Sergius Sazoiioff, Russian minister of foreign affnirs, declared to tho Associated Press correspondent today that if the Bulgarians Bul-garians "persist, iu their present traitorous trait-orous course they must answer to Russia. Rus-sia. ' 1 "An ultimatum has not yet, been presented," pre-sented," added the minister, "tout I presume one will be within a short time. ' ' Situation Grave. As a preface to this statement M. Sazonor'f said: "The situation in the Balkans is very grave. The whole Russian nation is aroused by the unthinkable treachery treach-ery of Ferdinand and his government to the Slavic cause. Bulgaria owes her independence to Russia, and yet seems tvilliug now to become a vassal of Russia's Rus-sia's enemies. In her attitude toward Serbia, when Serbia is fighting for her very existence, Bulgaria puts herself in a clans with Turkey. We do not believe be-lieve that the Bulgarian people sympathize sym-pathize with the action of their ruler. Therefore the allies are disposed to give them time for reflection. Ultimatum Certain. "If they persist in their present treacherous course they must answer to Russia. An ultimatum has not yet been presented, but I presume one will be within a short time. ' It is explained in diplomatic circles that Bulgaria has received no ultimatum ultima-tum hitherto, but a solemn warning of the consequences of her course and no doubt is left that an aggression against Serbia will confront Bulgaria with the bayonets of the entente allies. The in-timation in-timation also is made that Bulgaria will not be allowed to prolong the tension and impose upon Greece the cost of remaining re-maining mobilized. Bulgaria must demobilize de-mobilize or declare herself a friend of the entente allies, it is asserted. Moving to Frontier. PARIS, Oct. 2. 9:45 a. m. It is reported re-ported from Athens that Bulgarian troops from Sofia are moving in the direction di-rection of the Serbian frontier, and that other forces are being dispatched toward the Greek border. This information was forwarded today to-day hy the Athons correspondent of the Havas News agency, who asserts it was obtained from a reliable source. It is believed the principal point of concentration concen-tration will be along the upper Strouma river, southwest of Sofia, near the Serbian Ser-bian border. Another Ultimatum. LONDON Oct. 2, 5:52 p. m. A telegram tele-gram from Amsterdam says that Austria if about to send an ultimatum to Rumania Ru-mania demanding the free passage of munitions to Turkey. This information was received iu Amsterdam Am-sterdam from (Jologue and forwarded by the correspondent of the Exchange Telegraph Tel-egraph company. The message iaya Austria's ultimatum will be couched iu friendly terras, and that a short interval inter-val will be given in which Rumania may reply. Old Men Mobilized. MILAN, Oct. 1, via Paris Oct. 2. 4:40 a. m. Bulgaria is mobilizing all men up to the age of 58 vears, according accord-ing to the Corriero della Sera's Bucharest Bucha-rest correspondent.
