Ab Comparisons Com-parisons are odious, let it stand that the reporters arc fully convinced. After luncheon Mr. Wells devoted a considerable amount of his valuable time in showing the newspaper men about and explaining the various machines ma-chines especially devised to lighten the work of the farmer and at the same time give service absolutely efficient in every way. There were machines to measure the water used for irrigation, machines for all kinds of milling purposes, pur-poses, for pumping, and, iu fact, for about everything but to sew buttons on your clothes. For demonstrating the uses of electricity elec-tricity in the home, the company has fitted up a model kitchen ju which nothing but electric devices are used. On account of the heavy demand for the samples that are distributed daily it has been necessary to equip a sub-kitchen sub-kitchen with big range similar to those used in restaurants. Besides the display of electrical ap-1 paratus, a very attractive little rest , room has been fitted up. and as an en-i tertainnient feature music is furnished i every afternoon aud evening by a Hawaiian Ha-waiian orchestra. By inviting other concerns to participate partici-pate in the exhibit and by making the display educational, the Utah Power and Light company hopes to make the Electrical building a fixturo and one of the most popular features on the fair grounds. The large crowds that, are displaying an interest in the exhibits indicate the success with which the plan is meeting. |
